APEC is the premier Asia-Pacific economic forum with the mission to support sustainable economic growth and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region. APEC champions free and open trade and investment, promoting and accelerating regional 経済統合, Förderung der wirtschaftlichen and technical cooperation, enhancing human security, and facilitating a favorable and sustainable business environment. APEC initiatives turn policy goals into concrete results and agreements into tangible benefits.

APEC has 21 members - dénommées économies membres - which account for approximately 40 percent of the world's population, approximately 55 percent of world GDP and about 44 percent of world trade. APEC's 21 Member Economies are Australia; Brunei Darussalam; Canada; Chile; People's Republic of China; Hong Kong, China; Indonesia; Japan; Republic of Korea; Malaysia; Mexico; New Zealand; Papua New Guinea; Peru; The Republic of the Philippines; The Russian Federation; Singapore; Chinese Taipei; Thailand; United States of America; Viet Nam.

Depuis sa création, APEC has worked to reduce tariffs and other trade barriers across the Asia-Pacific region, creating efficient domestic economies and dramatically increasing exports. Key to achieving APEC's vision are what are referred to as the 'Bogor Goals' of free and open trade and investment в Азиатско-Тихоокеанском by 2010 for industrialised economies and 2020 for developing economies. These goals were adopted by Leaders at their 1994 meeting in Bogor, Indonesia.

US Crisis and Barrack Obama arrival at APEC

The US Government has been shut down for the first time in 17 years. 800,000 government workers will be forced to take unpaid leave and another million people will be asked to work without pay.
The National Zoo and 19 museums and galleries, including the Natural History Museum, the Portrait Gallery and the Air and Space Museum are set to close. A basic core of staff will work to perform essential functions like feed the animals, but other workers will be sent home. $$$%$#^&*&%$$$

The bitter budget standoff is over President Barack Obama's healthcare reforms. Republicans are refusing to approve government spending unless the White House Waters down Obama care. It shadows another critical deadline in coming weeks, a negotiation to an increase to the Government's debt ceiling

President Barrack Obama is planning to meet with President SBY one-on-one during APEC to discuss how this might affect our close bilateral ties and signal the end of our three-year Comprehensive Partnership.

Renewable Energy Management

Deputy Minister of mineral resources, Susilo Siswoutomo, hopes that through the APEC Economy Leaders Meetings (AELM) and Clean, Renewable and Sustainable Energy (APCRES) meeting, Indonesia can be informed on the subject of the development of renewable energy from working together with members of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Indonesia is able to learn strategies from Argentina’s and the Philippines’s, on renewable energy. Their experiences can be used as examples. “This constitutes one of the divisions of issues discussed at the APCRES. It is hoped that the outcome will play a significant role in the APEC Joint Ministerial Statement and Leaders Statement.” he continued. Siswoutomo added that the subsidy on fuels must be reduced correctly. The adoption of renewable energy must become a priority, so that the amount of imported fuels can be reduced. &^%#@$@%^$$$
